A passenger in Mr. Stoiber's

Broadway, was admitted to St.
Vincent's Hospital with chest in¬
juries. Treated in St. Vincent's
Hospital for lesser injuries were
Mr. Stoiber; Albert Ferris, 40
RD 6, Toledo, tb.2 driver of the
truck, and Mr. Ferris's wife.

Mr. Bender, on a business trip
to Toledo when the accident hap¬
pened, was employed for the
last .three years as a salesman
for the Stevens Motor Sales, Oak
Harbor.
Served In Navy
A native of Fremont, he
served in the U.S. Navy 'from
1932 to 1936, then was employed
as a machinist by the Herbrand
Division of the Bingham-Her-
hrand Co. in Fremont. With his
family he moved to Oak Harbor
in 1946, and for three years was
co-owner of the B&F Shoe Store
there. He then joined the
Stevens agency.
Surviving are his wife, the
former Marjorie^ Norton, Fre¬
mont, whom he married in 1936;
daughters, Lodema, 13; Sabra
Lue, 9, and Martha Jean, 5; par¬
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ben¬
der, Fremont; brothers. Dale,
Gibsonburg, and Kermit, Fre¬
mont, and a sister, Mrs. Donald
Fought, Oak Harbor.

1:30 p.m. in the Robinson Mor¬
tuary, Oak Harbor, and at 2 p.m.
in St. John's Evangelical Lu¬
theran Church, with Dr. B. F.
Brandt and the Rev. H. F.'Heid-
man, pastors, officiating. Burial
will be in Roose Cemetery, south
of Oak Harbor.
