Death of Jacob Bahnsen.
Mr. Jacob H. Uatmsen, one of Bay
township's pioneer farmers, died at his
home iu this city, J uly 20th, in his 77th

He was born in Senleswig-Holsvein
and came to this country in 1863, when
a lad about 16 years of age, with his
parents. He was married to Miss An¬
na Lorenzen Feb 8, 1877, aocl to this
union seven children were born: Lu¬
cy, wire oi Fred Lorenzen of Salem
township; Lawrence and Edward who
reside on the farm; Elizabeth, wife of
Wm. Obm, deceased; Helen, wiiefof
George Hopfinger of this city; Jacob,
who resides here, and Laella, cow Mrs.
