The body of Oscar("Hod") Al¬ drich. 85, was brought here by the Sabroske-Myers funeral ser¬ vice Monday from the County Home, where he had died that afternoon of infirmities of age. The funeral was Wednesday af¬ ternoon at the Sabroske home, Rev. JohnV. Lacy of Trinity M. E. church officiating, and inter¬ ment was made in Union ceme¬ tery here. He is survived by a brother, Eli Aldrich, of Sandus¬ ky,and nephews Clyde and George Aldrich of Bowling Green, and Bert Aldrich of Toledo. „
Mr. Aldrich was born in Bos¬ ton, Mass., August 6, 1851, but for almost fifty years was a res¬ ident of Elmore. He was twice married, but has no children. His first wife was Nancy Cooley and his second wife was the late Mrs. Sarah Herring, mother of Joseph Herring, who died in 1919. For a number of years he had lived alone but last winter his health failed to such extent that it was thought best to remove him to the County Home near Oak Har* bor, and he was taken there in January, where he gradually de¬ clined until the end.
