Port Clinton residents were sad dened Wednesday night when the announcement was made of the sudden death of popular James E.

Mr. Aleshire, who was married to Miss Mary *^ch|u, here, last October, was an assistant engineer in the distribution department of the Sandusky Ohio Public Service company.
He underwent an operation for a ruptured appendix in the Provi¬ dence hospital, Sandusky, a week ago lyfonday. For several days he was near death, but finally rallied, and his friends believed he would recover.
Last Sunday he was brought to the home of his wife's parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Schau, West Third street. Wednesday he suffered a setback, and grew steadily worse until his death that evening.
Mr. Aleshire first came to this area several years ago when he joined the conipany at the Erie Ordnance Depots After serving three years there, the joined the force at the local Ohio jPublic Service company and worked here for over a year previous to his transfer last fall to Sandusky. He was a member of the Port Clinton Gateway club, and Doherty Men's fraternity.

gician. He was billed as the "Child Wonder." Following his re- tiremente from ths theatre he joined the Army at the local post. He was a popular performer at many local affairs, was well known and deloved by a wide host of friends.
James Earl Aleshire was born August 20, 1915, in Frankfort, Ohio, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Aleshire, now of Columbus. He was 23 years, 10 months and 8 days of*. age*
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Mary Schau Aleshire; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Aleshire, Co¬ lumbus; and two brothers, Robert M. and Richard B; Aleshire, also of Columbus.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow", Saturday, af¬ ternoon, in the St. John's Lutheran church. Rev. Wert Siefkes will of¬ ficiate. The body will be laid to rest in Lakeview cemetery with' Gerner & Wolf directing.
