He moved from Port Clinton to Elmore, in 1868, where he has re- led ever since. He always had ! business and social interests I of this community at heart, and j was patriotically devoted to the ! progress and welfare of the whole country.
He was an honest and industri¬ ous man, and was always willing to lend a hand to assist those who were in need.
He was a kind father and de¬ voted husband, and constantly, up to the time of his death, showed a great interest in the comfort and welfare of his whole family. He leaves to mourn his demise a wife and two sons, George and Fred.
The funeral services were held from the residence Monday morn¬ ing, the Rev. C. S, Barron offici¬ ating. Intermeru was made in the Union cemetery.
