The funeral services were held j Tuesday afternoon, May 9, at the | Xinke home and then at Trinity j Lutheran church, of which she j had been a faithful member for
• 54 years. Rev. Thober conducted I the service and interment was in
the family lot in Union cemetery \ at Elmore.
Mrs. Louise Avers, nee David- I ter, was born in Germany, May
14, 1854 and was confirmed April j 26, 1868. In 1871 with her pa- (rents and three other children,
• she came to America and settled j near Woodville where they ; joined three of the children wrho I had come over two years earlier
June 12, 1879, she was marrie to Harmon Avers of near Elmore ' Rev. Althoff, pastor of Trinity Lutheran church at that time, rforming the ceremony. The ; couple went to housekeeping on | the Avers' homestead south of | Elmore. This "Union was blessed with six children, all living: John, j Theodore, Frank, Ervin, Mrs. i Wm. Deetz and Mrs. Reinhart j Ninke. Her husband preceded | her in death February 21, 1920.
In March of the same year she | with her son Frank moved to El- I more and since 1927 she had | made her home with her daugh¬ ter, Mrs. Reinhart Ninke, where j she passed away at the ripe age j of 78 years, 11 months and 22 i days.
She is survived by her six chil- I dren, one sister, Mrs. Mary Krie- ger of Toledo; one brother, Wm. ; David ter of Woodville ; 18 grand¬ children, 2 great-grandchildren, besides a host of lesser relatives. In her Trinity Lutheran church has lost a lovable and devout Christian and the Ladies' Aid Society one of its charter mem¬ bers, but what is their loss is *her gain in glory.
