CONRAD ALMROTH DIED AT
HIS HOME SATURDAY NIGHT
Conrad Almroth, 64, died at his home north of Elliston Saturday night, May 25, about 9 o'clock of Bright's disease and complica¬ tions. He had been ill a long time.
The funeral services were held at Zion Evangelical church, El¬ liston, Tuesday afternoon, the Rev. L. H Nauman, pastor of the church, officiating and interment in Elliston cemetery.
Mr. Almroth was born in a log house on the present homestead September 17, 1870. and after his marriage to Miss Clara Wilke on April 6, 1900, he continued to make his home on the homestead, though the log house had been replaced about 1895 by the brick [Jaoiise in_which hf died. His en¬ tire 64 years of life were, there- {fore, spent on the old homestead, which is now occupied by his eld¬ est son, Clarence, and family.
He became a member of the El¬ liston church at the age of 14 and for many years was director of the church choir. He also had been conductor of the Elliston band and at the time of his death was a trustee $1 Benton township.
His wife digd in 1905 but he is survived by Sis two sons, Clarence5 at home ana Lester of Toledo; al¬ so three brothers, Henry, John and George, all of Toledo; and two sisters, Mrs. Fred fellwig and Mrs* Katfc Hellwig, t^oth of Toledo. A brother Williajtn pre** ceded him is death.
