Full text	FORMER ELMORITE DIES IN FREMONT. /- 23 ~7?/f Emil Althoff. 36. well-known Fremont man, and father of four children, died at Memorial hos- Ipital Thursday, January 23, 1919, from pneumonia, following influenza. Mrs. /Jthoff and four 11 children had also been ill with Ithe flu but have recovered. Mr. Althoff, was born in El¬ more, May 9, 1882, the son of ;Rcv. and Mrs. C. H. Althoff,! !now of Jenera, Ohio. On May; 9, 1906, he was marriedvto Miss; Anna Roebke, of this place, but' shortly afterward they took up their ' residence in Fremont, where they have lived ever since. Most of the time Mr. Althoff has been in the employ of the :Rawleigh Medical Company j Besides his wife and parents, two sons and two daughters sur¬ vive, Oscar, Harold, Hilda and [Elizabeth'; also six sisters: Mrs. Frank Myers, Helena; Mrs. Her-! 'man' Haar, near Elmore; Mrs.] Urban Minnich, Gibsonburg; Mrs. J. R.* Praetor! js, Gibson¬ burg; Misses Martha and Loretta who live at home; and three [brothers, Louis Althoff, of Fre¬ mont; Rev. C. G. Althoff, of Up-; per.' Sandusky, and Luther Alt-; hoff, of Winnepeg" Can. The funeral was held Sunday: afternoon at the St. John's church, Fremont, and a large number of friends and relatives gathered to pay their last tribute of respect •to the popular young man. The; Light Guard band' of which he' had been a r^eriiber, headed the. funeral cortege from the house to the church. Rev. Rose,^ pas¬ tor of St. Johnls, conducted the services, with burial in Gibson¬ burg cemetery. The pallbearers were the three brothers, two cousins, Earl and Walter Blausey of Woodville, and a brother-in- law, Urban Minnich, of Gibson-i burg. The popularity of the^jde-!' ceased was shown' by thevnlan^ beautiful floral pieces and *bou-l quels.
