er died in Robinwood hospital,
Toledo, at 4:00 A. M. Saturday,
December 17. following* a serious
operation the week previous. Her
condition up to Thursday even-
in? was considered quite favora¬
ble but after that she declined
rapidly. The body was brought
to the Burmann funeral home in
Elmore where the lUieral rites
were held Monday afternoon at
two o'clock, her pastor, the Rev.
K. W. Scheufler, officiating and
interment in Union cemetery at
Elmore.
Mrs Damschroder (nee Depner)
was born in Germany August 10,
1876, and at her death had reach¬
ed the age of 56 years, 4 months
and / .days. She came to this
country with her parents when
about four years of age and spent
the rest of her life in Elmore and
vicinity.
In early infancy she was bap¬
tized in the Lutheran faith and
at the age of 14 was confirmed in
the Evangelical church at Ellis-
ton. After moving to , Elmore
she united with Trinity M. £..
church and remained a faithful
member and regular attendant of
that church. She was also an ac¬
tive member of the Ladies' Aid
Society.
In 1898 she was united in mar¬
riage to Julius Damschroder, who
still survives, together with five
children: Stanley, Kenneth and
IMyrth of Toledo, Mrs. Stella
