OBITUARY OF
GEORGE H. DAMSCHRODER
George H. Damschroder, son of
Christopher and Mary Damschroder,
was born in Woodville township, San¬
dusky county, May 10, 1853, and died
at the home of his son C. I. Dam-
chroder in Elmore February 1, 1918,
74 years,.8 months and 21 days.
He was united in marriage to Clista
A. Ingraham May 6, 1880, and to this
union were born eleven children, two
of whom who died in infancy and a
j third, Scott, was killed in action in the
I World War. His wife also preceded
j him in death January 15, 1927.
The deceased spent practically all
his life in Woodville township, being-
one of the substantial farmers of the
j community in which he lived. Seven
: years ago he retired and moved to
| Elmore into a house he purchased on
fFremont street. He lived there until;
the death of his wife, when he came I
to live with his son C. I. on Augusta j

) He is survived by eight children,:
| Mrs. Fred Fork of Fremont. Mrs, j
! Herbert Zorn of Gibsonburg, Orville,
I Kay and Ralph of Gibsonburg* and C.
IL, Elmer and Ben of Elmore; one
| sister, Miss Sophia Damschroder of
j Fremont; thirty-five grandchildren,
one great-grandchild and a host of
other relatives and friends, who will j
miss his kindly greetings. j
The funeral was held at Trinitv M.
E. church in Elmore with Rev, H. S.
