Emil Carl Max Dryher was born in
Varzin Kreis Rummelsburg, Germany,
on Feb. 2, 1887. He was baptized in
j early infancy and when two and one-
! half years old came to America with
his parents. Arriving in New York
City, the family came directly to
Woodville, 0., where they remained
for some time with relatives on a
farm, finally settling near Elmore. He
j attended the parochial school at Wood¬
ville and was confirmed in the Luth¬
eran church of tha{ place. His father
and mother, who. preceded him in
; death eight and ten years, respectively,
were members of St. John's Ev. church j
at Elmore. The young man in his]
earlier life worked as a farm hand and j
later learned the trade of molder in
the Multiplex machine shop of this]
place. In 1913 he was married, to j
Miss Elsie Brandt of Toledo, where |
they made their home until last fall,!
when they came back to Elmore. Since!
this time, Mr. Dry her was again cm- \
ployed by the Multiplex.
He was taken sick on Sunday, Jan.
,$, 1922, with pneumonia and passed
away on Wednesday evening, Jan. 11, |
1922, at 6:15 o'clock at the age of 34
years, 11 months and 9 days. He is
survived by his wife and two children,
Esther, 8, and Orvil, 6; three brothers,'
Wm. Dryher of Prairie Depot, O.; Her- •
man Dryher of Monroe, Mich^ and;
Louis Dryher of Toledo; three sisters,
Mrs. Martha Obermeyer of Toledo;
Mrs. Anna Trucer and Miss Freda
Dryher, both of Monroe, Mich.; beside*?
many other relatives and friends,
; Funeral services were held on Sat¬
urday afternoon, Jan. 14, 1922, at 2
o'clock at the St John's Ev. church,
with the pastor, Rev, Soell, officiating.
Burial was in Elmore ffinion cemetery,j
