The lime kilns and stone crushers in this 1903 image are at one of the quarries east of Washington Street in Genoa, Ohio. When U.S. Gypsum took over the quarries in the area in the 1920s, it was common to see small frame homes that belonged to the immigrant lime workers on the banks.
