PROPOSALS
FOR THE
"LOG CABIN"
It is proposed by the undersigned to issue 13 numbers of a paper with the above title--devoted to the
purpose of advancing the Presidency, that gallant Soldier and able Statesman, General William
H. Harrison--who whither in the field or in Council, ever protected the humble and honest inmates of the "LOG CABINS." Thousands of true hearted men around us, whose clapboard roofs and stick
chimneys yet hold to the weary and unfortunate the signs of a hospitable welcome, bear in grateful re-
membrance the good deeds of their early and constant friend. They are now rallying to his support, and
ask a representative of their interests, feelings, and intentions, in the formidable array of papers which
have flung to the breeze the banner of freedom, which bear the names of the brave and patriotic HARRI-
SON. They wish to show that they ave not pulled in the string of the latch and remain careless listen-
ers to the call whic patriotism now makes for admission into every dwelling however lowly, and into
every heart that beats within it. The "LOG CABIN," will represent this great section of the friends
of GEN. HARRISON. It asks no other favor--it seeks no greater glory.
A part of each number will be occupied with the matter in the German Language.
The "LOG CABIN" is printed upon a medium sheet, and the first number was issued the 21st
of March. The price is 50 cents for the thirteen numbers [graphic of hand pointing] PAYABLE IN ADVANCE [graphic of hand pointing]
