Distant view of Seip Mound looking east, Ross County, Ohio, 1906. Seip Mound is the center mound in a group of earthworks built by the pre-historic Hopewell people, 100 BC-AD 500. William C. Mills, archeologist and curator for the Ohio Archeological and Historical Society, now the Ohio History Connection, oversaw the excavation of the mound in 1906 and 1908. |
