Ohio Memory Subject Categories
The Ohio Memory Subject Categories are loosely based on the subject categories
developed by the Ohio Bicentennial Commission. They were modified for the Ohio
Memory project to ensure that the scrapbook covers a broad range of subjects
and time periods. These subject categories are not intended to limit possible
submissions, but rather to provide a ideas to help institutions decide what
to submit. Applicants are encouraged to interpret both the subject categories
and the examples broadly. Ideally, submissions will fit into several categories.
If an item or a collection does not fit in to any of the categories, participating
institutions should call their content editor for
more information.
